China Raise
A knitted cloth brushed after knitting to lift a soft pile on one face. Used as a rexine base, the raised face sits on the reverse of the finished material, giving it a warm hand, better comfort against skin and a premium feel when the product is handled. The knit also gives the rexine some stretch, so it follows curves on seating and moulded shapes. Supplied to your weight, width and shade.

Why use a raised base instead of a plain knit?
The raised pile makes the back of the rexine feel like cloth rather than plastic, adds a little cushioning and improves comfort wherever the material touches skin. For hidden or technical uses a plain base costs less and does the job.
Is China raise imported?
The name comes from the construction's origin in the trade, and we supply it both from domestic production and through our imports desk, depending on the specification and quantity. We tell you which you are being quoted.
